Plant Room Attenuation / Ventilation
We can design, supply and install noise suppression equipment to reduce the noise emitted from the skid mounted generator, to comply with the required noise criteria. Systems include:-
(1) Air inlet & outlet sound attenuators.
(2) Floor standing & high level exhaust gas silencers.
(3) Fixed blade weather louvres.
(4) Motorised dampers.
(5) Gravity operated dampers.
(6) Acoustic panels & partitions.
(7) Forced ventilation fans.
(8) Noise surveys.

Fuel Storage Tanks
Generators up to 800 kVA will come as standard with an 8 hour fuel tank within the base frame. For generators above this size, or where additional fuel capacity is required, Dieselec Generators can design, supply and install various fuel storage options, including:-
(1) DEFRA compliant above ground tanks up to 70,000 litres.
(2) DEFRA compliant below ground tanks.
(3) Fuel leak detection systems.
(4) Remote fuel monitoring systems.
(5) Remote fuel fill point cabinets.
(6) Overfill prevention valves.
(7) Fire activated safety valves.
(8) Interconnecting pipework & "pipe in pipe" systems.
(9) Trace heating & pipework thermal insulation.

Extended Exhaust Flue Systems
Whether your generator is installed in a basement level car park or an external position with restrictions on exhaust emissions, we can design and install a twin-wall, stainless steel, thermally insulated gas tail pipe system to atmosphere.
Layout drawings, method statements and risk assessments will be provided prior to completing the on-site installation.
We are happy to provide scissor lifts, scaffolding platforms and mobile access booms on request.

Crane Hire / Contract Lifts
We have supplier agreements in place that gives us access to the largest and most sophisticated mobile cranes in the country.
No matter where you decide to locate your equipment, we are confident that we can find the correct lifting solution to achieve this safely:
(1) Lorry mounted cranes
(2) 25 − 1,000 Tonne Liebherr units
(3) Lifting plans
(4) Method statements & risk assessments

Packaged Containers
We offer a range of standard & bespoke factory built ISO containers to house the complete generator package, with the following options:
(1) Fully packaged single lift
(2) Integral silencers
(3) Integral attenuators
(4) Integral switchgear
(5) Integral fuel tanks
(6) Fully bunded floors
(7) Noise levels from 65 dBA @ 1m to 85 dBA @ 1m

Silent Generators withn Plant Rooms
It is possible to install Silent Generators (those within an acoustic enclosure / canopy) within your Plant Room. The benefit of this is that no or very little additional sound attenuation is required. Also, Dieselec carry stock of Silent Generators, whereas Open Generators tend to be ordered from manufacture on standard lead times which can be 10wks+.
When installing a Silent Generator within a plant room, the air outlet and exhaust must be ducted to external atmosphere, as shown in the following picture (a recent Dieselec installation).

Drop Over Acoustic Enclosures
As an alternative to our standard canopy and container designs, we are often called upon to manufacture bespoke housings to meet site restrictions such as:
- Noise levels − super-sound attenuated to 60 dBA @ 1m
- Lifting Weights − generator & enclosure are lifted separately
- Space Restrictions − roof, side or end-mounted attenuators

Secure Containers
For remote hill top sites, with extreme weather conditions, we have designed a specially manufactured secure unit, which can house generators up to 165 kVA complete with 24 hour, fully bunded, fuel storage tank. This also has integral silencers and sound attenuation / ventilation equipment.
Externally, the enclosure has high level cowls instead of low level louvres to prevent the build up of snow restricting airflow to the generator.
The complete unit can be remotely monitored and controlled via an Open Protocol system. The units have extremely low noise levels: down to 58 dBA, so are also ideal for any noise sensitive applications.

Witnessed Factory Testing
Whilst we test 100% of generator sets supplied, the FG Wilson assembly plant in Larne has 10 cells covering 800 square metres that are dedicated to witness and special testing.
The cells provide testing for open or enclosed generator sets with resistive load capacity 12mW and inductive load of 3mVA. In addition, high voltage testing is offered up to 5mVA @ 13.8kV. We can also offer "string" testing of a single generator, or a number of generators running with their associated equipment, hence simulating the site installation. We offer cooling system performance, vibration, noise and fuel consumption checks.
We also have a facility where all special control panels are tested and can be witness tested.

Site Testing & Commissioning
Once we have installed your generating set and associated equipment, our factory trained technicians carry out the manufacturers pre-commissioning checks as follows:
- Extended load run tests using resistive / reactive load banks
- Load rejection tests with results recorded on charts
- Fuel consumption tests
- Air flow & sound level tests
- Mains failure simulation tests
- Switch gear interface
- Fully integrated system tests
- End user training
- Detailed client handover
