Telecom Switch Facility - Glasgow
FG Wilson Model P450 (450 KVA) positioned on a purpose built concrete
support pad, the generator was fitted within a low noise weather
proof acoustic enclosure with a separate totally enclosed bunded
fuel storage tank with associated interconnecting pipework. The controls
system was a sophisticated micro-processor based unit with a remote
BMS communications interface facility.

3 x FG Wilson Model’s P2000X (2000 KVA) high voltage generators
designed to operate in parallel to produce 6 MVA of emergency HV
power in the event of a site utility failure. The generators were
installed within low noise modified ISO containers and the installation
included neutral/earth resistors within the main HV switch room,
associated control cabling and a PLC to operate 36 x HV changeover
switches.
